Indicating this at the time of request
When requesting a microbiological analysis, you can easily indicate in the portal whether any detected colonies should be identified. By defining this in advance, the process can be carried out efficiently and without delay.
Working with a threshold value
For total plate counts, we ask you to enter a threshold value. This is the level at which colony identification will be initiated.
This allows you to stay in control of when identification is relevant and helps avoid unnecessary costs at low counts.
Multiple colony types
It is common for different types of colonies to be present on a plate. In such cases, you will automatically receive an email asking how many colonies you would like to have identified. This gives you full control over the level of detail in the analysis.
Analysis and billing
Each selected colony is identified individually. This means that every colony is treated as a separate analysis and will also be billed separately. This ensures full transparency in the cost structure.
Process reliability
An important advantage of this approach is that our Microbiology department receives an immediate notification to retain the plate as soon as identification is requested. When identification is requested at a later stage, there is a risk that the plate has already been discarded. By organizing this in advance, we prevent the loss of valuable information and ensure that identification remains possible.
