If your company is involved with producing feed for animals and is based in the European Union, there are a lot of rules that you have to obey. One of them is that you’re not allowed to use animal proteins or other products that have an animal origin for your product.
This is to prevent kannibalisme and stop the spread of diseases like BSE and scrapie. The European Union has set different rules to prevent carrying over unwanted substances or minimise the risk of this happening.
