Lactose (HPLC)

Lactose is a kind of sugar that only occurs within milk. The sweetness of lactose is just a fraction in comparison with saccharose, the sugar obtained from beet and cane sugar.

Lactose is obtained from products like cheese whey and is used in the paramedical industry as a filler for tablets. Besides that it is also used in the confectionary industry. NutriControl uses the HPLC method to analyze the amount of sugar in dairy products or feed products.
