The carrier
More than a quarter of all the people are carrying this bacterium with them. These can be found in the mucous membranes of the nose but also on the skin and on irregularities of the skin such as pimples or inflammation.
The bacterium makes a poison, if humans come into contact with this substance (enterotoxins), food poisoning can occur. This is relatively common, the symptoms are fairly mild.
Analysis
NutriControl can analyze the presence of coagulase positive staphylococci using a border reaction method. This method is performed equivalent to NEN-EN-ISO 6888-3: 2003 / C11.
