Clostridium perfringens

Clostridium perfringens is a common bacteria that can live in an environment without oxygen. They call this an anaerobic environment. If humans come into contact with this bacterium it can cause a serious food poisoning. This bacterium is common in faeces and the intestinal tract of humans and animals. But it also occurs in nature such as in water and soil.
